Tour Description:

The clear azure sky, the refreshing crystalline water and the white sand that gently sweeps your feet - those are the three magical combinations which have made Mabul Island an iconic paradise for tourists and locals alike. But of course, that’s not all! Explore the rich biodiversity of the Celebes Sea as you dive into the water and make your way around the shallower and deeper part of the beautiful ocean. As you gaze further out the distance, you will notice a boat-shaped oil rig coming into view. Interestingly, that very physical structure is no longer an oil rig and has now been redesigned and reused as a diving rig. So, gear up, dive down and behold the wonders and richness of the tropical water of Sabah.

You will have the time of your own throughout the entire journey to explore and see the beauty of the island for yourself. The wooden platform on which you step is beautifully decorated with intricate design and pot plants along the way. The overhead wooden beam also provides shelter from the rain as you make your way around the island. The clear colour of the water coupled with the beautiful design of the platform will make you feel like you are in Dubai - only this one is much closer to home. Rejoice and enjoy your trip as you go for boat dives at Mabul or Kapalai Island. Once under the water, you will discover many of the riches of the Celebes Sea. Be it bobtail squid, stonefish, all the way to the infamous blue-ringed octopus, the sea abounds in its mysterious inhabitants and amazing views.

Be sure to not miss out on the chance to visit Sipadan Island - the one and only oceanic island in Malaysia at 600 m above the seabed. This very island is the very contender for one of the world’s most famous and coveted diving spots. In fact, Sipadan Island was at the top of Rodale’s Scuba Diving Magazine Gold List for the “Top Five Destination in the World”. Feast your eyes on the green turtles, manta rays, barracuda and whale sharks roaming around the surrounding water as you swim and dive your way under. If you are lucky, you may also chance upon the nests of green and hawksbill turtles on shore. With so many things to look forward to, Sipadan Island will definitely be worth your effort and time.

As you finish your dive for the day, relax and retreat to your personal chamber with a seaside view toward the Celebes Sea. Feel the freshness of the evening breeze and gaze beyond the horizon under the starry evening sky amidst the beautiful illumination of the night. You will find yourself lost in the sheer beauty of the scenery as you rock yourself to sleep after an afternoon of fun.
