Tour Description:

With an untouched natural habitat out at sea that has been protected, Mabul Island offers one of the best snorkelling adventures that you can take part in. Located 45 minutes by boat away from the main island of Tawau, Mabul island so much more to offer. It has an ecosystem of coral reefs that have been very well preserved and springing with life. The island’s residents are extremely friendly and warmly welcomes every visitor that set foot on their island. The island is also rich with seafood produce that is fresh and very tasty as well. However, the most attractive activity on the island is snorkelling. You will have a fantastic view of the coral reefs and colourful fishes that have to turn the underwater region into their home.

At the start of the tour, you will be greeted by our experienced and friendly guides who will be waiting for your arrival. They will bring you to the briefing area where there will be an outline of the day’s events that you will be briefed. You will then head off to find the right fitting personal floating device (or also known as life vest) and snorkelling equipment that are well maintained. Then there will be another compulsory safety review and another check on the weather before you can head out to the location where snorkelling is permitted.

As you dive headfirst into the pristine and clear water with your gear, you will see the beauty of the underwater world of Mabul. It is littered with coral reefs and springing with diversity. You will be able to spot some of the classics like clownfish and sea turtles as you thread along the surface of the water. Do not miss out on the underwater wooden structures that are built to promote the growth of underwater plants and it acts as a shelter for sea creatures as well. You are strongly encouraged to take beautiful images of underwater life and the amazing sights.
