Venture into the ancient city of Luang Prabang where you will learn about the history and religion of the city!
Once the morning approaches, you will be greeted by the friendly guide where you will be fitted for the proper size bicycles that is of special quality. Soar through the beautiful city of Luang Prabang that is situated in the northern part of Laos and in 1995 it was rewarded with the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Traverse to the stunning Wat Pa Phon Phao, that can be interpreted as “Peacefulness Temple” and it is located atop a hill in the southeast of Luang Prabang and a stone’s throw away from the Nam Khan river. Believers go to the Wat Pa Phon Phao temple as a forest meditation retreat to learn about the religion in the serene atmosphere surrounded by luscious green plantations that flourish. The Wat Pa Phon Phao temple exudes glory in every corner due to the intricate architecture that is of olden-style to the spectacular golden stupa that stands towering over the area.
Trek along a well-paved road that will be surrounded by teakwood forests and rice fields that stretches across the land. Stumble upon the site of a French explorer named Henri Mouhot who passed away in 1861 due to contracted malaria during one of his jungle expeditions. He was involved in informing Western civilization, regarding the fall of Angkor, which is the capital of Cambodia. Explore the beautiful jungle upon the friendly elephant where you will catch the sights of a wide variety of flora and fauna that coexist harmoniously in the complex ecosystem. Feel the brush of the verdant leaves as you gawk at the different-hued trees that tower above your head. After an exhausting trip, you will then be provided lunch where you will taste the delights of the Laos cuisine that is filled with flavours in the serene ambience of the serene jungle.
After lunch, you will take a boat ride to visit the stunning Tad Sae Waterfall, where you will be able to see the flow of water rushing through the limestone formations and into the bigger pools below. Take a refreshing swim around the cool pool that will surely soothe your nerves and muscles after an exhausting day of extensive travelling. The best time to visit the Tad Sae Waterfall from August, all the way to January. Have an enjoyable short trek along a beaten trail where you will encounter adorable baby elephant that resides in their humble abode in the jungle and the best time to catch sight of an elephant is during February through July.
