Tour Description:

Immerse yourself in the Laos culture in a unique way by participating in a cooking class that will teach you the tips and tricks on how to prepare the delectable Lao food. The staple food of the Lao cuisine is sticky rice that is widely eaten amongst the local Lao people and it is usually eaten with hands. The Lao cuisine involves a heavy usage of fresh vegetable and herbs that are infused with their cuisine. Elevate your senses and taste buds by learning on the usage of different spices to prepare a Lao meal.

Lao food consists of a combination of its neighbouring country, which includes Thailand, Cambodia, China and Vietnam and the cuisine consists of traces of French flavours. In the early hours of the morning, you will first head to the local restaurant in the ancient city Luang Prabang and explore the vast expanse of the market that sells a wide array of goods in their stalls and be immersed in the bustling atmosphere of the market. You will also gain some insight on the methods of picking the appropriate ingredients during the market visit. 

Then, you will head to the local restaurant, where you will be learning about the art of cooking Lao cuisine from a skilled chef. Be prepared for an exciting class that will teach about the ways of using the fresh ingredients in preparing the Lao dishes. The Lao dishes mainly consist of fresh herbs and vegetables that enhances the flavours of the cuisine. After the cooking class, you will delight yourself with your wonderful creation and indulge in tasting the flavours of Laos cuisine. You will then be given a recipe book, which consists of recipes and important tips and tricks of cooking Lao cuisine for you to try when you get home.
