Tour Description:

Chiang Mai is another popular destination other than Bangkok for tourists in Thailand. The Chiang Mai city is a mixture of both historical and modern aspects in Thailand. The old city wall still stands at the heart of Chiang Mai. However, the countryside of Chiang Mai offers a different side of what you will see in the city. Rolling mountains, vast paddy fields, lush green forests makes travelling the Chiang Mai outskirts worth every single moment. This cycling tour will bring you to ride through countryside trails of Chiang Mai and discover the beautiful sceneries along the way. You will be able to explore the lives of those who live in the countryside of Chiang Mai.

Not far away from the Chiang Mai city, we head east away from the tourists' trails and you will be able to see fertile valleys with stunning views and mountain ranges in the background. Once we pick you up from your hotel, we will transfer away from the city to start our cycling exploration of San Kamphaeng and the Lanna countryside. This 34 kilometres cycling tour brings us to tranquil places where rice is grown. We will be able to see how important is the faith of Buddhist in local Thais’ daily lives. We will also visit a local market where the fresh produce is displayed creatively. You will be able to grab some souvenirs or taste some Thai cuisines in the local market. Fresh fruits from orchards around the areas are brought to be sold in the market. You can also sample some of the fruits in season and keep yourself refreshed throughout the day cycling around.

Next, as the world’s most Buddhist country Thailand has many historical and beautiful temples all over the country. We will pass by some temples during our cycling journey. You can stop by at the temples to visit and make an offering. Other than that, we will also pass by locals at work in their trades and will see how tin and aluminium is hammered and furniture is made from hard mango wood. We will ride through open plains and pedal past lush paddy fields as we ride towards the mountainous areas. We continue to ride on country roads at the base of the mountain range which will lead us to the San Kamphaeng Hot Springs. The San Kamphaeng Hot Springs has 2 hot springs that shoot bursts of hot waters into the air about 20 metres high. The water is hot enough for you to boil eggs too, you can boil them to your favourite level and eat it. If you can stand the heat, we can have a dip in the natural mineral springs that are said to be curative.

Cancellation Policy:

For long tours (minimum of 7 days):

Days prior to trip start. Cancellation fee per person:

• 0-20 days or No-show: No refund 100% of tour price
• 21-41 days: 75% of the net rate
• 42-55 days: 50% of the net rate
• 56-69 days: 250 USD
• > 70 days: Admin expenses plus any non- recoverable expenses.* E.g. national park fees, flights etc.

Administration fees include bank fees, reservation or advance charges incurred for boats, guides transport, accommodation or restaurants and any other reasonable expenses.

For short tours (6 days or less)

Days prior to trip start. Cancellation fee per person:

• < 24 hours or No show: No refund 100% of tour price
• 1-2 days: 50% of the net rate*
• 3-4 days: 25% of the net rate *
• > 4 days: Full refund*

Additional Information:

• The total riding distance is approximately 34 kilometres
• Tag-along and baby seat are available
• Visitors must dress appropriately at some of these temples and if you are wearing shorts or sleeveless shirts you will be asked to cover up with a sarong. You can bring your own or rent one at the entrance. Also, please note that sandals must have an ankle or heel strap
• Any special dietary requirements can also be catered for. Please let us know at the time of booking

• The supplier will recommend the time and meeting point. If the meeting point of your choice is outside of the normal pick-up points then you will be advised to meet at the nearest pick-up point or you will be given directions on how to arrive to the school independently
• It is recommend you use some sunblock or, if you prefer a natural option, sun sleeves for your arms and Buff headwear for your neck as the weather would be quite hot
• Transfer duration above are estimated and subject to traffic and weather condition, and not inclusive of any sightseeing tours
• Please adhere to strict pick-up time punctuality. Tour operators may forfeit tours for travellers if no-show during stipulated time
• Registered name of the traveller must be corresponding with photograph documentation (Example: Passport). Tour operators reserve the right to reject if registered traveller fails to provide photographed documentation of their own
