Tour Description:

Traverse through the road to the southeast valley of Luang Prabang, where you will arrive at the Long Lao village to begin your exciting hiking adventure! Delve into the attractive setting of the village that is located away from the hectic city of Luang Prabang. Learn about the lifestyles of the villagers that mostly consists of Khmu and Hmong people, by interacting and observing them as they carry out the daily tasks. Visit the eco-friendly bungalow that is made out of clay as part of the Fair Trek project, which may be used by tourists to immerse in the culture of the local villagers. Your adventure continues through the beaten path within the beauty of the mountainous region of Luang Prabang that seems to be untouched by men.

Stroll along the trail and stumble upon stunning orchards that are dotted with fresh colours and rice fields that stretch across the land. Encounter vegetable gardens along the way that thrive within these fertile lands before heading to the densely forested mountains that are crowded with wild trees and some challenging paths that require some climbing. Once the Sun is at the peak of the horizon, you will arrive upon the gorgeous Kuang Si waterfall. The Kuang Si waterfall is a three-tiered waterfall that rises to about 50 meters high with water gushing through the limestone formations to the pool at the bottom. Take the opportunity to dive into the alluring cold pool that is surrounded by the lush verdant jungle which blocks the heat from reaching your skin.

Venture to the Kuang Si Bear Sanctuary that is a stone’s throw away from the Kuang Si waterfall. The Kuang Si Bear Sanctuary is the humble abode of the rare Asian Sun and Moon bears that roam the within the confines of the sanctuary. At the sanctuary, the bears are rehabilitated and protected from poachers that may the body parts of the bears illegally. Gain some insight on the lives of the Asian Sun and Moon bears living at the sanctuary and also about the Free The Bears program that is involved in aiding the bears. The Kuang Si Bear Sanctuary largely depends on donations to support the project to purchase a t-shirt or donate some money while you are at it!

7 - 14 days prior to the tour date, 50% of total package payment incurred.

1 - 6 days prior to the tour date, 100% of total package payment incurred.

• The total trekking distance is 9 kilometres with medium difficulty and the path may be slippery when wet
• Transfer duration above are estimated and subject to traffic and weather condition, and not inclusive of any sightseeing tours
• Please adhere to strict pick-up time punctuality. Tour operators may forfeit tours for travellers if no-show during the stipulated time
• Registered name of the traveller must be corresponding with photograph documentation (Example: Passport). Tour operators reserve the right to reject if registered traveller fails to provide photographed documentation of their own
