Tour Description:

Kuala Selangor is known to be a sleepy fishing town at the mouth of the Selangor River and the few places within the Selangor state that is left untouched by developments. This has resulted in an abundant environment that has allowed these beautiful insects (fireflies) to be vastly populated in their habitat. As the sun sets across the horizon, these tiny nocturnal Kelip-Kelips starts to go about their daily routine. As they fly across the dark starry night sky, they glow from time to time giving off a spark of light just like a flickering candle. These creatures fill up the whole night sky each going about its own tempo to glow, it is a sight to be marvelled at. You will be fascinated by the beauty of nature’s chaos and create graceful memories of this natural sight.

The adventure begins with a punctual gathering at the Firefly Park at Kampung Kuantan, where our experienced and extremely friendly guides await your arrival. There, you will get the opportunity to enjoy some light refreshments and activities at your own expenses. Furthermore, they would be a safety brief along with an outline of the firefly activity which you will be embarking on. There will be a motorised boat that will be specially charted for you to cruise down the river to take in the beautiful sight on the river. As you travel down the river, you will be able to see the entire night sky filled with these nimble creatures buzzing around. It is like the fireflies are performing an amazing spectacle for you. Do also take the opportunity to gaze at the gorgeous reflection of the lit-up night sky by the river.
