Kuala Selangor located an hour away from Kuala Lumpur. With the different adventure tours that have been specially lined up for you, catch a glimpse of the natural beauty of the Malayan tropics as you take part in them. In the day time, you will get to see the beauty of the mighty tropical Eagles swapping down to the river to fish for their next meal. When the sunset, and darkness descends, you will be captivated by the flickering lights of fireflies that illuminate the pitch-black night sky. You will also head out to the open water to have a wonderful time watching bioluminescent plankton (also known as “sea fireflies”) glowing in the water.

Firstly, you will be taken out to a section of the river that has a series of mangroves lining up along the shoreline. This is where the Eagles have set up their nests among the canopy of the mangroves. Your guide will lay out some pre-prepared baits out in the open water which will attract the Eagles. They will take to the sky immediately and make a dive to the surface of the water to get their next meal. This graceful event is sure not to be missed!

Once the sun dips across the horizon and when the surrounding is pitch-black, you will head out to another destination along the river to observe the firefly spectacle. Take delight in the wonderful view as these tiny blinking nocturnal creatures fluttering across the night sky going about their daily routines. Their periodic lighting up coupled with the vast numbers of these creatures paves the way for a beautifully illuminated night sky.

Finally,enjoy the Blue Tears tour along the Selangor River where you will get to see a sea of lighted up blue lights in the water. Where you will get to witness first-hand the beauty that bioluminescent plankton. These tiny sea-creatures will light up by sensing that there is some form of physical motion in the water and it is a beautiful sight of glowing blue. The guide will take this opportunity to teach you how to make these creatures glow even brighter than ever when you are out in the open water. Be ready with your camera to take pictures of this pretty event!
