Tour Description:

Known locally as KK, Kota Kinabalu is the diverse capital of Sabah. While it is quickly growing to become just as modern and versatile as any other big city, Kota Kinabalu still hangs on to its unique mix of traditions and attractions, as well as its distinct jumble of races and dialects.

The Kota Kinabalu Glitter with Cultural Dance tours begins at dusk, where tourists are taken to a shopping paradise at a vibrant night market. There are souvenirs and trinkets to be purchased here, as well as appetising local snacks to sample. The food ranges from sweet delicacies to popular dishes like ikan bakar (grilled fish) and various types of noodles. Top tip: while bargaining is a common thing to do at night markets; do take note that the prices here are often very generous and wallet-friendly.

Your next stop will be at the Signal Hill’s observation deck. From this viewpoint, you will be able to watch the colourful sunset melting beautifully into KK’s dazzling nightlife. Don’t hold back on taking as many pictures as you like, for the view here makes a lovely memory of the city in all its glory. You will then be treated to a brilliant seafood dinner (seafood is the city’s forte, after all!). The meal will be accompanied by a cultural show. So sit back, relax and be amazed by the graceful but nimble movements of the costume-clad dancers as they entertain the audience with a traditional Sabahan dance.

This is where your journey with the tour ends. But no worries—you still have the freedom of exploring the rest of the city for yourself! There are shopping malls to visit, plenty of stalls and restaurants to explore, and popular nightclubs with great music scenes to chill at.

• The Kota Kinabalu City Hall authority does not allow big coaches to go up Signal Hill due to safety reasons
