Tour Description:

Day 1 – Denpasar / Labuan Bajo / Rinca Island / Kalong Island

Disembark from your plane at Komodo Airport in Labuan Bajo and get ready to sail off to Rinca Island. The journey should take approximately 2 and half hours from the Labuan Bajo pier to the island. Upon arrival at the island, you’ll meet with your local ranger who will guide you in your trek through the dry forests of the island. One of the infamous animals that is native to some of the islands in Indonesia is the Komodo dragon. Look at the trees overhead and you might catch a glimpse of the other native wildlife such as tropical birds or long-tailed macaques or even young Komodo dragons!

After your exploratory trek is done you’ll set sail on an air-conditioned cabin boat towards Kalong Island. As the sunsets, you’ll witness hundreds upon hundreds of flying foxes, a type of bat, flying out of the mangrove trees. This spectacular view of the sunset and nature at its finest will be complemented with a delicious dinner onboard. After you’ve filled your stomachs experience spending the night on this boat.

Day 2 – Komodo Island / Pink Beach / Manta Point / Labuan Bajo

Set sail for Komodo Island after having a nice breakfast on the boat. The trip will take about 2 and a half hours, passing through several smaller islands along the way. Once you’ve arrived at your destination, you’ll register for a basic trekking tour to bring you around the island to see even more Komodo dragons. Once you’ve had your fill of Komodo dragons and other wildlife, head to Pink Beach.

Your next destination is Pink Beach which is one of only seven pink beaches in the entire world. The pastel pink colour of the shore is due to microscopic animals releasing a red pigment onto corals which fragments’ get washed onto the shore, mixing with the white sand. You won’t want to miss swimming or relaxing on the beach of this natural phenomenon. Last stop of the day is Manta Point, where you’ll get to see the huge manta rays in person! You choose to snorkel to get friendly with the manta rays or watch them from the boat. Enjoy your lunch onboard before returning to Labuan Bajo where you’ll be transferred to your hotel for dinner and a good nights’ sleep.

Day 3 – Labuan Bajo / Denpasar

After breakfast at your hotel, explore the city’s top sightseeing spots! Batu Cermin is the first stop on the list and is popular due to the smooth inner walls of the cave which act like mirrors and reflect the light that shines through a large hole. Then move on to your second stop is a local market! Check out the local produce and handicrafts, maybe even buy yourself a souvenir to take home before leaving for the airport for your return flight to Denpasar.
