Tour Description:

Venture into the stunning Koh Samui, which is ranked as the second largest island in Thailand where you will behold the vast ocean that seems to stretch to the horizon and the pristine white beach which adds to the beauty of the island. Your first stop will be at the Big Buddha temple. This historic temple is the island’s famous landmark where it is home to a huge statue of Buddha that stands proudly at 12 meters tall. The gigantic Buddha statue can even be seen from a safe distance afar. The Big Buddha temple has attracted many travellers and devotees from all over the world to visit and pray at this religious temple. Your journey continues with a trip to the Laad Koh viewpoint where you will gaze at the beautiful landscapes of the striking beaches that is situated along the coastline.

Visit the legendary Grandpa and Grandma rock (locally known as Hin Ta and Hin Yai) formations that are shaped just like the human genitalia. The bizarre rock formations are believed to have a folklore that tells a tragic story of an old couple. Due to its unique structure, it has become a popular tourist stop now where most people would come here to pose for a photo. The atmosphere of the area exudes serenity with the sight of the crystal clear blue water and the uninterrupted sight of the vast sky. Within the vicinity, you will have a chance to shop at the local souvenir shop for some Samui knick knacks and taste some popular treats such as the coconut caramel, or better known as ‘Kalamare’ in the Thai language.

Your next stop will have you exploring a place of worship called the Kunaram temple which houses an unusual sight of an ancient mummified monk that is positioned in a meditating pose. There is a widespread belief amongst the locals that the mummified monk is a work of miracle as the body only shows a little sign of decomposition, even 40 years after the death of the monk. Continue your journey through nature by going on a visit to the Na Muang waterfall. Enjoy the wonders and gifts of the Mother Nature where you can hear the sound of water crashing down the rock. The Na Muang waterfall is the largest and believed to be the most beautiful waterfall on the entire island of Koh Samui. Bask in the calmness of the environment and explore the area before departing with beautiful photographs and memories that will last for a lifetime.

• Modest wear is necessary for visits to the temples and palaces. Shorts, slippers, short skirts and bare shoulder tops are not allowed since they are considered inappropriate
