Tour Description:

Whitewater rafting is one of the most popular adventure based activities in Kota Kinabalu. With rivers graded from class I-IV, the rivers here are suitable for both beginners or experienced. Other than that, Kota Kinabalu is also famous for its breathtaking sunset views. Muara Bay at Laya-Laya Village in Tuaran is an amazing location to watch the sunset by the beach. Besides that, the river at Muara Bay is also a location for fireflies sighting. This tour will bring you to experience all these exciting activities in a day and it will definitely be worthwhile.

The tour begins by picking you up from your hotel and then transfer to our base camp near Kiulu river at 12.00 PM. After around an hour drive, we will reach our destination. A delicious lunch will be served here to fill your tummies up so that you have the energy for the rafting later. After lunch, you will be transferred shortly to Kiulu Town which is the starting point of the rafting. The Kiulu River is graded at class I-II for whitewater rafting which is suitable for beginners and those who are experienced already. Before you start rafting, you will gear yourself up with the safety equipment and our professional guide will conduct a safety briefing. Once the briefing is done, brace yourself with an adrenaline filled whitewater rafting adventure in the rapids of Kiulu as you try your best to not flip the raft. After approximately an hour or more of rafting, you will reach the base camp by the river and end your rating adventure. You can change to dry clothes or take a shower at the base camp as you will most probably be drenched after the ride.

After that, we will depart to Laya-Laya Village in Tuaran to take a boat transfer to the Muara Bay. The journey takes around an hour. Once you reach Muara Bay, you will be served with light refreshments to recharge yourself after the tiring rafting adventure. Then, the sun will start to set slowly. You will be able to witness a stunning view of the sunset on the beach that will amaze you. As the sun sets, a luscious buffet dinner will be served to fill up your tummies. After having dinner, we will then board a cruise that will bring us on a ride along the river at Muara Bay. As you cruise along the river, you will be able to watch fireflies lighting up the night with their sparkling body. Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere as the boat cruise along the peaceful river at night. After the firefly cruise, we will transfer back to Kota Kinabalu and should arrive around  8.30 PM.
