Tour Description:

Day 1 - Nature Lodge Kinabatangan/ River Cruise Expedition/ Night Trek

The journey will commence with a scheduled shuttle bus ride from Sandakan to Nature Lodge Kinabatangan where you will meet at either Wisma Khoo at 10.30-10.40, Sepilok area at 11.30am or Medan Selera at 1.30 pm. Nature Lodge Kinabatangan is situated alongside the river bank of the Kinabatangan river, which is ranked as the second largest river in Malaysia and also surrounded by luscious tropical rainforest and stunning wildlife.

After check-in, you will have the opportunity to explore the river area on a late afternoon river cruise expedition which is scheduled at 4.00 p.m. During the expedition, you will have the chance to see various kinds of birds, which includes hornbills, eagles and also the brightly-coloured kingfishers in their natural habitat. Moreover, you will be able to spot the different varieties of reptiles and amphibians, which includes snakes and frogs coexisting in the same ecosystem as the birds. The tall trees surrounding the river acts as the home for the well-known native orangutan and also the long-nosed Proboscis monkey, which is ranked as the largest monkey species in Asia.

Later at night after a splendid dinner, you will then go on a guided night walk to visit the surrounding rainforest and witness firsthand the nocturnal animals roaming in the dark and sleeping creatures safely nestled in their abode. Furthermore, there are at least 1000 plant species, 250 bird species and 50 kinds of mammalian species that have been documented to be living in the area which means you can catch a glimpse of a different flora and fauna at every corner!    

Day 2 - Morning river cruise

The following morning, you will travel through the river on a morning river cruise where you will have the opportunity to experience the wildlife and search for animals as they awake at the crack of dawn. Lucky travellers may even catch the Bornean elephant, which is known as the smallest elephant in the world eating by the river! After the exhausting cruise, you will return to the lodge to consume a hearty breakfast and then you will prepare to take your journey back after a two-day long adventure at Kinabatangan river!

Cancellation Policy:

• Full refund shall be made for written request/instruction from Client for cancellation made 30 days ahead of check in date which acknowledged received by Adventoro
• No refund for cancellation made less than 30 days from the check in and no show
• After commencement of service, no refund in part or full will be given for the services provided
• We will charge 25% for cancellation or changes made 30 days prior to the arrival date & 100% charge for cancellation or changes make with less than 30 days prior to the arrival date

• Child rate price are applicable for 5 to 12 years old only
