When you are talking about big beautiful caves, it is hard to discount Vietnam from the list. Indeed, the country is home to many of the world’s most renowned cave system and some of the world’s most beautiful caves. Aside from the caves, many of the jungles are also untouched and still retain that alluring natural charm in its own right. Take your time to explore the many different beauty of the caves and jungle ecosystem through this overnight jungle camping trip.
Day 1 - Ma Da Valley
After we pick you up from your hotel, we will first head toward HQ. There, you will be able to meet your fellow teammates and get to know each other better. After all, you will be going on the trip together with them. So, feel free to get the conversation going and find out more about their stories. With the team-bonding session finished, familiarise yourself with the rules and regulations of the camping tour as well before you head off to your first destination.
On your way there, do not forget to enjoy the scenic view along the road and get your camera snapping that beautiful pictures of the national park. Upon arriving at your trek departure point, make your way up the hill toward the Elephant Cave. After about 90 minutes, you will arrive at the Elephant Cave and will then be able to proceed with the exploration. The limestone lining the walls of the cave is as beautiful as much as they wondrous. The winding path of the cave makes for a good twist and turn and before long you will find yourself falling in love with the sheer beauty of the cave.
Next, make your way to Ma Da Valley and go toward Ma Da Lake for your next adventure. When you arrive, a BBQ lunch will be waiting for you and you will finally get to sate that rumbling tummy. With a full stomach, the journey continues with a swim in Ma Da Lake. As you wade through the refreshing crystalline water and rejuvenate yourself, do not forget to also turn your head around the scenic surroundings. You will surely come to admire and love the panoramic view of the lake. Then, it is time to set up camp, enjoy some Vietnamese traditional food before retreating for the tomorrow.
Day 2 - Tra Ang Cave
Good morning, sleepyhead! Waking up first thing in the morning, you will start your day with some trekking up the jungle after your breakfast - your next destination is Tra Ang Cave. Again, remember to turn your head around and discover the richness of Vietnamese flora and fauna in this UNESCO protected national park. Upon arriving at Tra Ang Cave, suit up and start swimming across the length of the wet cave. The 600 metres swim will feel effortless as you admire the formations and beauty of the cave itself and how it has, in fact, stood the forces of erosion all this time.
With a job well done, you then exit the cave where lunch will be waiting. Finishing your food, you will then start trekking toward Ho Chi Minh road where your cold drinks are waiting for you. Finally, drive back to Phong Nha and return to your hotel after a good day’s adventure.
