Tour Description:

Start your day by taking the roads where you will visit a Nam Khan riverside village called Ban Xieng Lom. The Ban Xieng Lom is the humble abode of the simple villagers that live in the serene area at the base of the mountain. Then, you will board a small boat at the Nam Khan river, where you will travel through to the starting point of the trek through the dense jungle. Catch the glimpse of the villagers hard at work along the Nam Khan river and take the opportunity to interact with them. Then, you will begin your journey into the unknown when you start your trek along the beaten trail and into the luscious green jungle, stunning limestone cliffs and thriving ferns.

Take the steps along a rocky trail where you will have a chance to gaze at the beautiful wildlife that lives in the jungle. Cross paths with the villagers that stroll along the similar path that will take them to the local market. As you ascend along the trail, you will arrive in the Lao Sung village, which is the home of the Hmong people that live in the mountainous regions. Meet the villagers of the Lao Sung village and learn about their culture and customs of the village that are involved in the agriculture and trading as a way to generate their income. Explore the small quaint village that is filled with livestock that wanders within the walls of the village. Hear the laughter of children playing as the adults in the village engage in their daily work.

You will be provided with a scrumptious lunch that is filled with the flavours of Laos in the home of the villager. You will have an opportunity to gain some insight about the eating customs of Laos. Be entertained by the stories told amongst the villagers and learn about the lifestyle of the villagers by asking and interacting with them. After a delectable lunch, you will head back down from the Lao Sung village and trek pass other villagers that are situated along the trail. As you descend the trail, you will catch the sight of villagers heading in the opposite direction from the market or the fields and make it to the Nam Khan river. Cross the Nam Khan river on a small boat where you will depart from the outskirts to the main city of Luang Prabang.

7 - 14 days prior to the tour date, 50% of total package payment incurred.

1 - 6 days prior to the tour date, 100% of total package payment incurred.

• The total distance of the trek is 17 kilometres and the trail is medium-to-hard and it will require at least 6 hours to complete
• Transfer duration above are estimated and subject to traffic and weather condition, and not inclusive of any sightseeing tours
• Please adhere to strict pick-up time punctuality. Tour operators may forfeit tours for travellers if no-show during the stipulated time
• Registered name of the traveller must be corresponding with photograph documentation (Example: Passport). Tour operators reserve the right to reject if registered traveller fails to provide photographed documentation of their own
