Take part in an unforgettable white water rafting activity at Jeram Besu and ride in a 4WD to the scenic site of Berembun waterfall!
Go whitewater rafting on Jeram Besu’s rapids that go from Class 1 up to Class 3! You are guaranteed to have a blast as you try to navigate the rapids in your kayak with your teammates. These rapids can be taken on by both first-timers and veteran kayakers alike; even if the class does not seem challenging for those who are experienced, the enjoyment factor will still be high. Malaysians and Singaporeans who can’t keep away from these waters should be proof enough that Jeram Besu’s rapids are well worth your time.
To prepare you for your white water rafting, there is a mandatory water confidence course that you must take. During the course, you will learn how to float on the moving water, sit and paddle in a kayak, and how to resurface from a capsize when you’re out on the rapids. All these steps are necessary to ensure that you know what you’re getting yourself into, as well as to give you a taste of what to expect when you start rafting. Take on the “man overboard” exercise and jump down into the “Mother Rapids” to conquer them as a final trial before you can start paddling for real.
While white water rafting usually focuses on the wet and wild ride out on the rapids, there will also be moments where you glide along waters that are wonderfully calm and quiet. These moments will allow you to take a break from paddling hard and just immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and sensations of nature. Watch as butterflies flutter around in the air, occasionally hovering over rocks, and look out for any White-throated kingfishers singing their songs from the treetops overhead.
For your Fraser’s Hill adventure, you will get a day tour of the sites and attractions that Fraser’s Hill has to offer to you. Fraser’s Hill is well-known for its population and variety of bird species. One of the most popular activities to do here is bird-watching as the hill resort’s location is famous for having over 250 species of birds at any one time. The area is dense with attractions of various natures. In the town centre, you can see the Sports Complex with its contemporary architecture and beautiful outdoor garden, and the Bird Centre, which is housed in the same building.
A distance away from the town centre is Jeriau Waterfall. It is a relatively small waterfall with a shallow pool, but how shrouded it is by dense greenery creates a nice atmosphere. You will also be brought to visit a tofu making factory, where tofu puffs are made, and the business has been passed down from generation to generation. It produces over 200 kilograms of fried tofu puffs in a day to be sent out to the market for consumption. At the peanut factory, the peanuts are still dried out using the traditional method of frying them in a brick kiln with burning wood. The peanuts produced here are delicious, and many visitors often take some home as souvenirs to share.
