Tour Description:

Day 1 - Funny Mountain Soya Bean / Dinner

The journey begins with a friendly meet and greet with our representative. Our first stop is the popular Funny Mountain Soya Bean, well-known for its refreshing soya bean and deliciously soft and smooth soya bean curd, or as the locals call it ‘tau fu fah’. This famous joint has been around for over 60 years. This family-run business not only churns out consistently addictive soya bean milk; it also has its own drive-thru service!

Widely advertised as the best ‘tau fu fah’ in Ipoh, their ‘tau fu fah’ is special because it is so silky smooth that it glides down your throat, no chewing required! Sugar syrup is commonly drizzled along with a faint hint of ginger to further enhance the rich taste of the soya.

After you have had your fill of the popular soya goodness, we will then continue on our journey to your hotel. Once you are quickly checked in, you are free to explore or relax on your own. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant before you are returned to your hotel for the night.

Day 2 - Heritage Tour / Ipoh Chicken Rice / Nam Heong White Coffee / Ipoh Gerbang Malam

We will kick start the day with a scrumptious breakfast at the hotel before we take off on your Ipoh Heritage Tour where you will get to immerse yourself in the history and culture of Ipoh. To appease our hunger, we will be enjoying a famous local meal, Ipoh chicken rice.

Ipoh chicken rice is served with bean sprouts chicken or more commonly known as ‘nga choy kai’. The saliva-inducing poached chicken doused in soy sauce is accompanied by blanched bean sprouts, with scallions and coriander as garnishes. The bean sprouts or ‘taugeh’, is usually plump and crunchy and complements the delicious, juicy poached chicken.

After lunch, we will resume our gastronomical journey at Nam Heong White Coffee. Ipoh’s most iconic coffee shop is famed for their white coffee, with its velvety texture and rich aroma. The remarkable coffee here is commonly accompanied by an order of kaya toast, white toast spread with delicious coconut-based jam or eggs on toast, wonderfully runny eggs perched on crisp white bread.

We will then return you to your hotel for a short rest and some free and easy before heading out to enjoy dinner at a local Shabu Shabu Steamboat Restaurant. Fill your tummies with the abundant choices of fresh seafood, vegetables, meat and drinks laid out for you as you are surrounded by a comfortable ambience.

Lastly, end the day with a trip to the infamous Ipoh Gerbang Malam, which is a night market right smack in the middle of the city. Take a stroll down the night market and experience an insight to the local life in Ipoh, plus check out the restaurants and pubs dotted throughout. Many of this restaurants open till late night, so this would be the place to be if you get hungry in the middle of the night!

Day 3 - Gaharu Farm / Qin Xin Ling Leisure & Cultural Village / Lost World of Tambun

Start the day off with a delicious breakfast before heading to Gopeng for a visit to Gaharu Farm. This tea valley offers an extensive view of the plantation and tourists are even encouraged to hug the 20-year-old Gaharu tree for luck. Also known as the tree of the Gods, the Gaharu tree is known to have medicinal value.

We will stop for lunch at a local restaurant to aid your growling stomachs before we adjourn to the next part of your adventure, a visit to the Qin Xin Ling Leisure & Cultural Village. ‘Qin Xin Ling’ in English is ‘Serene Hill’ and this attraction is truly tranquil in its beauty and lush nature. This wonderful site encompassing the lakeside offers many outdoor activities such as barbeque, jungle trekking, bicycle riding and more. Enjoy and take in the stunning scenery and fresh air while experiencing the rich culture of the locals.

Before our next stop, we will drop by for refreshments at some Pomelo stalls before heading to the Lost World of Tambun Hot Springs & Spa for some time to relax and unwind. Have a soothing dip in the majestic sanctuary and rejuvenating hot spring pools. We will then end the eventful day with dinner at the restaurant here before heading back to your hotel.
