Tour Description:

Hoi An is deemed as  “Culinary heaven”, as there are numerous delicious dishes: cao lau, mi Quang, banh mi and so on. Why not take a class and learn how all those mouth-watering dishes are made? Cooking classes in Hoi An, as someone has said, is “One of the most attractive travel services in the world”. Moreover, these classes are for everyone, from amateurs to professionals, from an 8-year-old child to a 70-year-old man; it doesn’t matter as long as you are willing to learn. 

The first thing you need to do is to choose the dish you want to make. With some recommendations from the chef, you will definitely choose a dish that suits your tastes. Next, the chef will take the whole class out to the local market to shop for the ingredients. You will be provided with some insights into the ingredients and to the “way of market life”. Ask and talk to the locals not only about the ingredients but also learn more about the rustic yet unique lifestyle. Enjoy the simplicity and beauty of “market life”.

After finishing shopping for all the necessities, head to the home-based cooking school. The whole class will do the prepping together. Then, the chef will teach the whole class techniques to master the simple yet sophisticated Hoi An cuisines. What comes next is that everyone will try to recreate the dishes under the watchful eye of the chef. Food hygiene in the kitchen is also very strict, so there is nothing to worry about. Once the dish is finished comes the best part: tasting! You enjoy lunch with the very dish you had just made. Everything tastes better when you make it yourself. Maybe you can remake the dish once you get back home as a surprise for everyone!
