Go around the rustic neighbourhood and surrounding towns of Hoi An on a cultural and historical exploration down the memory lane of old day Vietnam.
Hoi An is unique among its other neighbours due to the fact that this rustic city still retains many of the historical and cultural heritage from days long gone. While other regions may have one or two heritage sites and landmarks, the heritage of Hoi An is imbued in the city. This is immediately apparent when you first step foot into the city - the architectural model of the house itself is enough to make you nostalgic. As you make your way around the city, you will find more wonders to enjoy and more heritage to note. So get ready to be surprised and awed by the cityscape of this beautiful town.
Day 1 - Ho Chi Minh City / Da Nang / Hoi An city tour
Transfer to the airport and take a flight to Da Nang. Once you arrive, you will then transfer to Hoi An. In the afternoon, you will spend your time exploring Hoi An on foot. While you explore, you will get to see the rustic architecture of the town and spend time with local residents going about their daily lives around town. The unique atmosphere itself combines elements of Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese culture and you will get to see many historical remains which are reminiscent of different architectural styles. This journey will include visits to Hoi An Museum, many of the town’s renowned Ancient Houses, the Assembly Halls of Chinese influence, a handicraft workshop and, of course, the must-see Japanese Covered Bridge as well.
Day 2 - My Son Sanctuary (Breakfast)
Enjoy a half-day trip to visit the capital and religious center of former Champa Kingdom. Located in the heart of a beautiful valley and surrounded by high mountains ranges, My Son was named a Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO in 1999 and has today become a popular tourist destination. Originally built with wood, they were completely destroyed by fire in the 6th century and restored in the 7th century by Sambhuvarman who rebuilt the temples with locally made bricks. Until the 13th century, more than 70 similar temples were built, establishing My Son as a sanctuary of Hinduism in the Champa Kingdom. You will have your free time to do as you wish in the afternoon and evening before spending time overnight in Hoi An.
Day 3 - Hoi An foodie tour / Da Nang / Ho Chi Minh City (Breakfast & Lunch)
