Explore the cultural and historical wonders of Vietnam countryside as you cruise through the scenic country road of Vietnam villages.
The beautiful villages of Vietnam offer a lot more than simple sightseeing. Indeed the green meadows and vast plains of the villages have captured the hearts of many who come. But there is more than meets the eye. You will find that the villages are also full of their own unique culture and traditional craft. This knowledge has been passed down from generations to generations and will continue to survive for many more years to come. These know-hows include pottery, artistic handicraft, fishing techniques and boating. Immerse yourself in 4 hours of cultural discovery as you find out how local villagers go about their livelihood every day.
Once you are all aboard the bus, you will make your way straight to our local fishing village. Along the way, you will also get to enjoy the tranquil country road and the scenic view of Vietnam countryside. Unwind and take in the fresh air of the countryside as you slowly make your way to the village. Upon your arrival, you will see just how different country life is. Look through the eyes and lens of local fishermen and how they go about their daily livelihood to feed their family and children. Feel free to also strike up a conversation with the locals and learn more about the different household circumstances and experiences that they share with you.
After you look around, you will continue your adventure on board a boat as you cruise along the Cua Dai River. Take part and learn from local fishermen on how to go about doing a round net and cast net fishing. If you are understandably confused about the absence of a fishing rod in the process, worry not because you will not be needing it here. When it comes to fishing, a net is more than enough. You will be surprised at just how many fishes you manage to catch just by simply casting a net into the river floor. If you are still a bit rusty on the technique, feel free to ask your friendly local fishermen to guide you through the process slowly. After all, nothing beats the feeling of being able to enjoy your own hard work. Of course, you will also enjoy some good cultural folk music of Ba Trao on board the cruise as well.
Then, you will get to enjoy the Thung Chai Basket Boat Dancing on the Waterways performed by the talented crew on a small and simple basket boat. Boarding this tiny boat requires focus and balance. You will get the chance to learn how to properly paddle and make your way down the river on this compact basket boat. Even better, you will also get to participate in a basket boat race to put your skill and stamina to the test! So strap up and row away as you race for that coveted first place.
Finally, explore the historical coconut -palm flanked waterways and listen to stories of heroic past on how soldiers endured severe conditions and paved the way to our future today. With that done, enjoy some lunch and a cold beer or soft drink before returning to your hotel by the minivan.
