Calling all the foodies out there to embark on an ultimate culinary adventure in Hoi An! As one of the best food destinations in Vietnam, Hoi An offers various scrumptious dishes you would not want to miss. If you’re staying at the nearby resort town of Da Nang, you should definitely make your way down to Hoi An and taste all the goodies. Join this cycling food adventure and get ready to be charmed by the local food culture!
Our journey begins when we pick you up from your hotel in Da Nang to meet our guide in Hoi An. Once we have a bike fitting and safety briefing, we set out to taste the best food around the city specifically-curated by our local guide. As it is arguably one of Vietnam’s national dishes, we would not miss the chance to taste the French-inspired sandwich, Banh Mi at Hoi An’s famous local establishment, the Banh Mi Queen. We will also taste Hoi An’s signature dish - Cao Lau at the terrace of a private home. As we are being served with this home-cooked meal, you could choose the herbs for your pork noodle while listening to the legend behind this dish. Next up, we will try the savoury sizzling pancake, Banh Xeo and enjoy it like a local by dipping it into the special sauce after cutting it into pieces.
As the sun begins to set, we cycle through the historic alleys and head towards the riverside. We will indulge in the Vietnamese-style barbecue while admiring the vibrant nightlife along the river. Make sure you spot the iconic colourful lanterns of Hoi An here! Besides Vietnamese cuisine, you could also try some foreign-influenced delicacies in Hoi An. As Vietnam is a former French colony, you can expect French-inspired cuisine and food culture here. In fact, the locals have even improved the food items brought by the French. We could sample some high quality cheese products and sip the locally-made rice wine. If you are really not a wine person, you can just grab the Vietnamese award-winning craft beer.
Besides these food stops, we will also try other local snacks at the food stalls nearby. After eating and cycling around the city, we will gather at a coffee shop to get some desserts and unwind with our fellow foodies. Our ultimate culinary adventure will conclude as we transfer you back to your hotel in Da Nang.
