Tour Description:

Head down the stunning surrounding of Thu Bon River and feast your eyes on the beautiful panorama around the river. Thu Bon River is also teeming with various nearby villages with different crafts and skills passed down through generations. Thanh Ha Pottery Village is known for its stunning and enduring pottery while Kim Bong is famous for its wood-based work in carpentry and sculpture. As you explore around the river, be awed and lose yourself in the amazing culture and craft of local residents. 

From the river port, you will depart for Thanh Ha Pottery Village where you will learn more about the culture and take part in the daily life of Thanh Ha people. Thanh Ha Pottery Village itself has had over 500 years of history since its founding year and have endured the test of time hitherto. With the skills and knowledge of handicraft passed down from generations to generations, the local people create pottery products with different shapes and sizes to suit the customers’ needs. Then, you will observe the steps used in producing different pottery products such as vases, pots and kettles. After learning about pottery, you will continue your tour by  visiting Thanh Ha Terra Cotta Park Museum. This outdoor museum is a reflection of the past heritage of Hoi An and will show you a world into the past time of Hoi An.

Next, you will continue with a 30-minutes’ boat ride up Thu Bon RIver and head toward Kim Bong Carpentry Village. Another traditional craft village in Hoi An, Kim Bong Carpentry Village was formed in the 15th century by Vietnamese from the northern provinces including Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh. Learn more about the shipbuilding section of the village where wooden vessels are built to accommodate for fishermen’s daily livelihood. Then, stop by the carpentry workshop where carpenters create their own handcrafted furniture and sculptures for sale before finally concluding your tour.

Cancellation Policy:

• All cancellation from guest incur additional charges as follows:
• 48 hours before the departure day: 50% charge of the total tour cost.
• After 48 hours before the departure day or no-show: 100% charge of the total tour cost
• Customers cannot receive any types of compensation in the case of annulations is due to a force majeure
