Traverse through the various beautiful homes of Black Hmong at the foot of Hoang Lien Mountain range.
The minivan will take you to a village lying at the foot of Hoang Lien mountain range called Sin Chai. Located on the northernmost point of Sapa and surrounded by mountains with only one path leading to the village, The Black Hmong tribe residing in Sin Chai lives off the land on a daily basis. During the rainy season, Hmong people work tirelessly on their rice terrace fields - colourful vegetables are grown all year round and livestock are raised altogether as well. The village itself is quiet and peaceful, its people are friendly and lovely. After spending time getting to know the village and its villagers, you will hike up the mountains. Along the way, enjoy the spectacular view of the rich vegetation, colourful flowers, and thick bushes scattered around the mountain peak.
Once you reach the peak, be prepared to fully enjoy the view of Sapa’s picturesque mountain landscape before walking downhill toward Cat Cat village. Another home to the Hmong, Cat Cat has been around for over 100 years and is especially well known for its fertile field., Come harvest day, it is not surprising to see the village lights up with its radiant golden colour. The Hmong people here also grow cotton plants and flax plants to serve as material for their daily weaving, the latter of which you will get to enjoy as you walk along the pathway of the village. After a lively afternoon, stop by a waterfall to restore your lost energy with a deliciously prepared lunch.
Continue along your trek sneaking through the mountainous trails along the narrow river of Muong Hoa. Even after a half-day journey, do not forget to immerse yourself in the mesmerising scenic nature of Sapa. After a while, you will arrive at Y Linh Ho - home the Dao tribe. The tribe started residing in the village during its early days and originally called it Ly Linh Ho. However, as time passed, the Hmong community chose to settle down at the village as well and thus changing the name to Y Linh Ho. The familiar sight of rice terrace fields, green vast cornfields and the Hmong in their deep dark indigo traditional costumes tending their lands or weaving their cloth will lift your fatigue away as you enjoy the wee hours before the conclusion of your tour.
