Tour Description:

Known for its pivotal role during the Vietnam War and its stunning French colonial legacies, Ho Chi Minh City or Saigon is definitely a must-visit when travelling in Vietnam. Thus, let’s explore Ho Chi Minh City in style by driving around on a former military Jeep! We will pick you up from your hotel and head towards several notable landmarks of Ho Chi Minh City. Our first stop is the Reunification Palace which was designed based on the Western modernist architectural style with subtle Indochine symbols. This palace was the former residence and workplace of the South Vietnamese President during the Vietnam War. This site witnessed the final moments of the war as it ends when the North Vietnamese Army’s tank crashed through the gates and occupied the palace during the Fall of Saigon operation.

Next up, we will visit the FITO Museum which is the first Vietnamese medicine museum in the country. The museum showcases the collection of more than 3,000 items dating back to the Stone Age. The exhibits consist of traditional medical tools and ancient documents which record the development of traditional medicine in Vietnam. A visit to this museum is definitely informative as it provides us with insights about the local history of medicine. Our last stop on this Jeep tour is the charming District 5. This area houses the largest Chinatown in the country and it is one of Ho Chi Minh City’s oldest districts. Here, we will stroll through the noisy alleyways and experience the daily life of the locals from up close. We can also visit the local market around this area and shop like a local. After we have explored Ho Chi Minh City through and through, we will transfer you back to your hotel and end the tour.
