Are you looking for some fun and exciting outdoor activities while in Hoi An? You should definitely join our 2D1N cycling and caving tour! Our trip will let you get the best of Vietnamese natural scenery and experience the one-of-a-kind caving adventure at Heaven’s Gate.

Day 1 – 70 km Cycling to Co Tu Village

Our journey begins as we pick you up from your hotel in Hoi An. In around an hour, we will reach the starting point of our trip: the trailhead of the Ho Chi Minh Trail. This trail is known as the former military supply route during the war which cut through the lush mountains and green landscape of rural Vietnam. We will cycle along this trail and conquer the gorgeous rolling terrain throughout the day. In the afternoon, we will arrive at the heart of this mountainous region bordering Laos where we will meet the local Co Tu hill tribe.

While inhabiting the highland, the Co Tu ethnic minority group has established isolated villages where their native traditions are still well preserved and remain unfazed by modernity. You can expect to see how the locals go about their daily lives and learn more about the local culture. Today, we will have the chance to visit Bho Hoong and stay the night at the traditional bungalows of this Co Tu Village. If time permits, we will trek through the village to explore the surrounding forests and rivers. Once we are done rekindling with nature, we will indulge in the traditional dishes prepared by the locals for our dinner before we retreat to our bungalows.  

Day 2 – Caving at Cong Troi (Heaven’s Gate) Cave

Rise and shine, get ready to experience a fun caving adventure at the Cong Troi (Heaven’s Gate or Pra Zoong) Cave today! The cave is located between two mountains in the middle of an unspoiled tropical forest. As the Bhom Lom River is around this area, we will also get to trek through the river while heading towards the cave. After passing by the river and lush forests, we will reach the Heaven’s Gate Cave where the magnificent stalactites and stalagmites awaiting our arrival. Here, we can admire the beautiful arch and pillar formations established over thousands of years through the deposit of minerals.

Besides exploring the cave, we will also try descending down the cave using elaborate rappelling gears. Our professional guide will assist you with rappelling down into the cave from 50 meters above the ground! Along the way, we will also visit a waterfall where we will enjoy our picnic lunch and swim at the small pool below the falls. While we are here, don’t miss out on the chance to rappel down for 15 meters into the waterfall! This unforgettable experience will allow you to have the birds-eye-view of the picturesque tropical forests and the strong currents of the falls. Once we complete all of our activities here, we will head back to the main road and board our van to return to Hoi An.
