Explore Sapa Valley and trek around the region’s different attractions including the Heaven’s Gate all the way to Sin Chai Village.
The first thing you will hear is the sound of the Silver Waterfall from afar. The water flowing from the valley top hits the rocks so hard that you will barely be able to hear yourself talking when you are near the area. The waterfall itself stands tall and proud and it is surrounded by dense vegetation all around. Listed as one of Sapa’s 10 most beautiful waterfalls, the Silver Waterfall is going to be the first stop of your trip. When you arrive at the waterfall, walk across the bridge to a higher point to catch the full view of Sapa Valley. After travelling for some time, you will get back on the car and make your way to Heaven’s Gate where you will visit Indochina’s highest mountain peak, the Fansipan.
Your trek starts at a waterfall close to Heaven’s Gate. Descend via a dirt trail through the Hoang Lien National Park bamboo forest before continuing your journey along the dense path of the riverside. Hoang Lien Park itself is well-known for its diversity and preservation of numerous East Asian’s plant and animal species and if you are lucky, you may even meet these local inhabitants on your journey. If not, you will still get to immerse yourself in the beautiful landscape before you: the virgin forest and misty forest surrounding. As your tummy rumbles for food, you will set up your picnic lunch in the middle of the forest, accompanied by the wonders of Sapa nature.
With your stomach satisfied, head back onto the track and head to Sin Chai village. Once you are there, the first thing you will stumble upon is the stilted houses of the Black Hmong residing here. Woman donned in dark traditional dresses can be seen hanging pieces of linen cloth in the front porch or quietly weaving and dyeing their clothes in linen ink. Nearby, you will also see farming tools lying on the ground, children playing around their homes - the ideal picture of a rural lifestyle. The exciting and eye-opening visit to Sin Chai will also be followed by wrapping up your excursion as your car arrive to bring you back to the big city.
