Challenge yourself and your lifestyle as you learn more about Buddhism and try out healthy and delicious vegetarian cuisine for a change.
Buddhism is one of the biggest religion in Vietnam. With 70 - 90 per cent of the citizens being Buddhists (tam giao), the country is rich in Buddhist culture and landmarks - a fact that holds true in Hanoi as well. The tour offers you an experience to learn more about the religion while simultaneously allowing to immerse into the lifestyle of Buddhism practised by the monks. On the other hand, you will also get to explore the iconic Long Bien Bridge and enjoy the scenic view from the bridge.
Wake up, pack up and get ready as the tour starts in the early fresh morning. Upon picking you up from the hotel, the tour will commence by first bringing you the Long Bien Bridge and stopping for sightseeing. Enjoy the breathtaking morning view, breathe in the air from atop the bridge and you will find yourself in awe and awake for more to come. Interestingly, there are also two ways the tour will offer to get you around. You can either choose to be adventurous and travel by a motorbike driven by trained female riders or you can choose a more relaxed approach and go by car instead. If you are looking for a change of pace and firsthand contact with Hanoi, do not think further and go for the motorbike. If you wish to relax and still enjoy the journey during the morning, go for the car! Either way, you’re in for a ride.
Next, we drive you to Bo De pagoda where you will get to listen to the legend of Buddhism, the different meanings of the statues laid out in the pagoda and lessons taught by monks. After the lesson, join in for a healthy and delicious vegetarian lunch prepared by the monks before heading off to the local markets to buy some souvenirs and gifts for the adopted kids living in the pagoda. Once you finish shopping, we will head back to the pagoda where you will be able to play, sing and dance with the kids at the pagoda and even teach them some English words. They are more than happy to share their stories and listen to yours so feel free to talk about anything under the sky with them, including how you feel about the trip! As we conclude our visit to the Bo De pagoda, we will drive you back and drop you off at the hotel where the tour will then end.
