Hang Tien has been blessed by nature’s abundance. Its lush green forest decorates the beautiful cave surroundings and the Rao Nan River that runs close to it further enhance the brilliance of the cave environment with its crystalline brilliance. The river is also famous for being the shooting site of the Hollywood blockbuster movie “Kong: Skull Island”. Discover for yourself the charm of Hang Tien Cave and its neighbouring area in this memorable tour.
Day 1 - Phong Nha / Tan Hoa / Secret Cave / Hung Ton Cave / La Ken Campsite
We will start the day by heading to the Tan Hoa HQ. There, you will collect your gear, sign your Release Form and learn all you need to know about the basic and safety procedure of the trip. After you suit up and get pumped, we shall hit the road to visit a Hollywood Blockbuster wonder site: Rao Nan River. This river is featured in the Blockbuster hit movie Kong: Skull Island. That’s right, the river where Kong is standing tall and mighty in the movie is none other than this. The surrounding cornfields and peanut farms make the river even more beautiful as lush of verdant meadow extends as far as the eyes can see.
When you’re out of the river, we will make our way up the small hill to the Secret Cave. Ready yourself for a world of fascination as you marvel at the beautiful and towering rock formations inside the cave. If you want more of the ethereal view, worry not as we will be making our way to a second one: Hung Ton Cave. We will also be stopping for lunch right at the entrance of the cave. After a morning of trekking, rejuvenate and re-energise yourself with some good lunch and good company.
After lunch, you will get to finally explore the cave again for a good two hours before heading to To Mo Valley. There, you will climb the Lom Com Mountain and reach your La Ken campsite by the Rao Nan River. Another good news is that you can also enjoy a little dip before you enjoy your dinner in the river. Feel your body cleansed as the river water course through you and ready you for another day’s worth of adventure tomorrow. After a good dinner, rest up and unwind beneath the starry sky and close by the gentle coursing river.
Day 2 - La Ken Valley / Hung Nhai / Mooc Lagoon / Tien Campsite
Rise and shine, sleepyhead! When you open your eyes, feast on the delicious breakfast and warm cuppa for breakfast. With your stomach filled and your mind probably still a wee bit sleepy, it is time to head out for the day! The hill climbing that follows will definitely wake you up as you make your way to the beautiful waterfall. Worry not because lunch is also waiting for you at the very same place, to provide you with that extra motivation.
After lunch, you will continue your trek through Hung Nhai Valley where you can marvel at the fertile valleys and breathe in that fresh mountainous air. Not long afterwards, you will see in the distance a blue lagoon surrounded by rocks. We know you will not be able to resist the urge to swim in it so we will be setting camp there and you will get that swim you have been itching for. After you finish swimming, come up, dry yourself and join us for a BBQ dinner as you retreat for the day near the soothing sound of the lagoon water.
Day 3 - Tien Campsite / Hang Tien 1 / Hang Tien 2 / Dong Dau Mountain / Tan Hoa / Phong Nha
Today is another challenging day so eat up your breakfast and refresh yourself as much as you can. Finishing breakfast, you will head straight for an hour’s worth of climb on a rocky field as you make your way to Hang Tien 1. Inside Hang Tien 1, you will get to see a ceiling filled with beautiful decoration of rock formations. Standing tall and proud, the rocks here are truly a sight to behold. Journeying deeper into the cave and you will get to try out a new caving activity: 18 metres flying fox. When you are locked and secured on the harness, our guide will help you with the ride and you will get to enjoy the fun of floating mid-air.
When you are satisfied with the flying fox, climb the ladder and you will see the exit of Hang Tien 1. Next is, of course, lunch. Munching on the delicious lunch, prepare yourself for yet another cave adventure at Hang Tien 2. This subterranean ethereal world, believed to be the largest cave in the Tu Lan Cave System, is a wondrous place to be at. As you explore the cave and finish your tour at Hang Tien 2, we will head back to the camp to pack your necessities. Relish the last moment with a trek through Dong Dau Mountain to the road where cold drinks await.
As the company bus picks you up at 5 P.M., you will return to Tan Hoa for a shower and change of clothes. Congratulations! You just completed the challenging Hang Tien Exploration 3-day-2-night journey!
