Travel to different popular landmarks to go sightseeing and experience the local culture at sites such as Mayura Water Palace, Gili Trawangan and Sukarare Village.
Day 1 – Lombok / Mataram
Arrive at Lombok International Airport and be welcomed by your guide before heading to the city to start your adventure! First stop is at Mayura Water Palace, built in 1744 which floats on an artificial lake and once served as a court of law. Move on to Mandalika market to observe the daily lives of the locals as they shop for their groceries at one of the main markets at Lombok. Stroll through the elegant gardens of Taman Narmada which was built in 1727 by King Anak Agung Gede Ngurah Karang Asem. Feel at peace as you walk these gardens that once served as a place of worship and its spring water was believed to grant eternal youth for the believers. Your next stop is Lingsar temple, built in 1714 by Balinese Hindus and is Lombok’s most important religious site. The temple welcomes their Muslim brothers with open arms and encourages them to pray together with the hindu people at the temple. Then you’ll be driven to the hotel where you’ll spend the rest of the day.
Day 2 – Gili Trawangan
After breakfast head to Batu Bolong temple that stands on a magnificent rock formation that juts out over the sea giving you a unique view of the beautiful ocean. Journey to Pusuk pass and explore the tropical rainforest that has magnificent sights of lush hills and valleys. Expect to see wild monkeys swinging from tree to tree and some might be waiting for you to feed then peanuts or bananas. Take a short transfer to Gili Trawangan by boarding an outrigger boat. At the biggest island of three gilis in Lombok you’ll get to snorkel through the crystal clear waters or relax on the soft sandy beaches. Make a short photo stop at the gorgeous Malimbu Hill before driving back to your hotel.
Day 3 – Bumi Gora / Sasak
Embark on a day of culture as you visit various villages and destinations to experience their traditional culture. Your first stop is to Banyumulek Village which is infamous for their traditional pottery. Continue your tour at Sukarare Village and witness their local crafters hand make its traditional hand weaving of brightly coloured patterned songket, ikat and sarong cloths. Then head to Sade Village and tour its unique traditional lodge with its buffalo dung floors. Then move on to Tanjung A’an at Kuta Beach which is one of the most unspoilt beaches in this part of the island. Your last stop is to Mayura water palace before driving back to your hotel.
Day 4 – Depart Lombok
Have a nice breakfast and then have the rest of the day to yourself before having to head to the airport. Bid farewell to Lombok as you drive to the airport to board your flight.
