Located within the same area is where butterflies flit about nonchalantly. The gorgeous and serene Butterfly Park is your next destination! Constructed to house more than 15,000 plants, it closely mimics a natural rainforest; home to over 6000 butterflies ranging across 120 species. The park serves to educate visitors on the life cycle, biorhythm and mating habits of the butterflies. Aside from that, there is also an educative insect museum. For those who are fascinated by creepy-crawlers, then this is the place for you!
Next, walk a short way towards the “World’s Largest Free-flight Walk-in Aviary”—Kuala Lumpur Bird Park. Sprawled across 8 acres of lush, grassy terrain, 5000 local and foreign birds call this place home. This scenic location is perfect for a short getaway and a haven for shutterbugs and aviphiles. Try spotting the brahminy kites and the gorgeous rhinoceros hornbills; visit the nursery to learn about egg incubation and catch the bird show held at the amphitheatre from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm, daily. Do note that taking pictures are only allowed after paying a small fee. These feathered beauties promise a delightful conclusion to your tour.
