Tour Description:

Located right on top of the Pacific Ring of Fire, Mount Batur is one of Indonesia’s active volcano with a height of 1,717 m above sea level. The volcano’s last explosion was back in the year 2000 and the dust deposit of the explosion has settled around the hillside, forming fertile and dark sand dunes more famously known as the black lava sand dunes. These mineral-rich sand dunes are perfect for an adventurous ride around the mountain as you make your way to the top and provides its own unique experience in observing the volcanic dust particle of a typical volcano. Your journey will have you entering and exiting a local forest before continuing your journey up the sandy and slippery slope toward the top. Once you are at the top, the time will be right for you to enjoy an evening sunset alongside your fellow travellers and guide so be sure to bring that camera and power it up to its fullest.  

You will first dress up and gear up for your journey ahead. Once you are properly prepared and ready, you will make your way straight up the hillside. First, you will enter a forest track where you will meet with a series of descending slippery tracks that lead straight to the riverside. The road can get more slippery if it was raining the day before so be sure to exercise caution. Upon crossing the river and continuing your journey, you will exit the forest and continue your way onto a sandy track that leads straight to the top. When you are close to the top, you will find that the track before you has changed to include black sandy track. Once this happens, you will realise that you are already treading on the black lava sand dunes. Soon, you will arrive at the peak of the hill. There, you will get to see a 360-degree view of the surrounding environment and the beautiful golden sunset before you. Be sure to take your camera and snap away at the breathtaking view before you. 

When the sunset is done and you are satisfied, you will return back down and conclude your tour for the day.

Cancellation Policy:

• Cancellation made 7 to 2 days prior to riding date will be charged 50% cancellation fee from the total price
• Cancellation made 1 day to riding date or not able to show up will be charged 100% cancellation fee from the total price
