Tour Description:

Kuala Selangor is a treasure trove for adventures and you may find delightful thrills in many of its hidden gems. Some of its more popular attractions include ‘Kota Melawati’—previously named ‘Fort Altingsburg’—a ruined fort, the Royal Mausoleum as well as the legendary 100 steps. Nature enthusiasts rejoice as the Kuala Selangor Nature Park serves as a coveted location to witness migratory birds in action. With lady luck on your side, you might even spot Silvered leaf monkeys, rare species of birds and colourful butterflies.

Illuminate your night with a visit to Kampung Kuantan, where the quiet river bank comes alive as sparks of light dance under the cover of darkness. Fireflies or lightning bugs are the main attraction here, and Kampung Kuantan is renowned for having one of the largest firefly colonies in the world. A long journey deserves an exceptional meal which can be found at a fishing village nearby where the fresh seafood is a must-try.

As twilight approaches, you will be ushered to go aboard a Malay wooden row boat where a guide would bring you upstream to bear witness to one of nature’s unique wonders. Due to the darkness, it would take several moments for your eyes to adjust to your surroundings which would soon be filled with specks of blinking lights. This incredibly synchronised light performance is produced by thousands of fireflies eagerly showcasing their gifts to excited visitors, ensuring a memorable end to a truly fantastic day.
