Tour Description:

Get up in the early hours of the morning to start your thrilling adventure to explore the rural parts of the ancient town of Luang Prabang. The Luang Prabang is located in northern Laos and the city was given the UNESCO World Heritage Site, way back in 1995. Tall mountains tower over the town and the town is a stone’s throw away from the confluence of the Nam Khan and Mekong rivers. Upon arrival to Luang Prabang, you will first be properly fitted on one of the quality mountain bicycles before commencing your adventure while being lead by a guide. Soar through the well-paved path the will lead you to the north of Luang Prabang and also along the Mekong River that is in constant motion.

Leave the bustling cities of Luang Prabang behind to the agricultural villages that are located at the outskirts of the city. Venture to the Hmong village where you will be able to interact with the friendly locals and immerse yourself in the cultures and customs of the Hmong people. Although the history of Hmong people is rarely researched, it was believed that the Hmong people migrated from Mongolia, all the way to Southeast Asia. The Hmong people live a simple life with agriculture to sustain the needs of the villagers. Admire the vast expanse of the paddy fields and the outline of hills as you ride along the countryside roads.

Learn about the culture of the Khmu people when you traverse along the beaten roads heading to the Khmu village that is located within the mountain ranges of the northern part of Laos. Meet the friendly locals where you will gain some insight into their agriculture lifestyle, whereby they practice swidden farming. The Khmu people were believed to have been originated from the southwest of China, where they migrated to Laos and currently make up one of the largest ethnic group within the Southeast Asia region. Hear the laughter of the children as they play amongst themselves when you explore the serene Khmu village that is encircled by an abundance of nature. You will have a chance to stumble upon a wide array of people and lifestyles along your mountain biking expedition. Take a break by the riverside after a long and exhausting mountain biking ride.

7 - 14 days prior to the tour date, 50% of total package payment incurred.

1 - 6 days prior to the tour date, 100% of total package payment incurred.

• The total distance of the trail is 60 kilometers with approximately 65% paved and 35% dirt roads

• Please adhere to strict pick-up time punctuality. Tour operators may forfeit tours for travellers if no-show during the stipulated time
