Tour Description:

Be an early bird for one day as we will depart rather early in the morning. Make sure to have breakfast beforehand or bring your breakfast and energize yourself on the car. The first stop will be a tea plantation. Enjoy the beautiful scenic immense green tea gardens: green tea buds swaying in the soft breezes and bathe in the yellow sunlight or maybe enjoy a cup of green tea while taking pictures as a remembrance of the gorgeous greeneries.

Next, after driving past the famous Ho Chi Minh trails, you will reach Ba Hom village - home to the ethnic minority Co Tu. The village lays at the centre of a valley surrounded by mountains. A “guol” - a big house for public activities - lays in the centre of it and is considered as the village’s “soul”. Guol holds a unique architecture, there are animal statues and statues that represent the Co Tu. Every cultural feature of the guol needs to be preserved. Another very “tribal” character about the Co Tu is that they still hunt for their food (although they do work on small farms) and eat with their hands. Co Tu people also raise cattle and do handicrafts. All in all, most of their lifestyle and traditions are left untouched by time. So take the chance to experience what it is like to be in an “authentic” mountain tribe.

Lunch in the village is where the friendly Co Tu will treat you with their best food: hot steaming sticky rice served in bamboo tubes along with fish caught from the nearby streams, pork, stir-fried bamboo shoots and vegetable that grows in the forest.  Even the village’s wine is made from herbs found in the forest. Everything about the meal will make you feel warm and welcomed. Following the delightful meal is a trip to the Zara weaving village. This village strongly holds the Co Tu cultural identity. Brocade fabric is weaved from materials available in nature all around them. The weaving procedure may take days, even months to complete. Coming to the village, you have the chance to try doing the job on looms made from wood and bamboo. Leaving Zara behind, take a short trek to the majestic waterfall not too far from the village. Appreciate the sparkling and splendid waterfall surrounded by the thick, dense and old tropical forest. The untamed picturesque wild will also be the last stop before you get back on the road to your hotel.
