The glorious sight of the twin peaks at the Doi Suthep-Doi Pui National Park can be seen from a distance at the city of Chiang Mai. Upon arrival to the summit of the Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, you will behold the majestic Wat Phra That Doi Suthep that radiates under the Sun with its gilded chedis and it is a prime example of a spectacular northern Thai-style architecture. The ancient temple was established in 1300 where the location was said to have been chosen by a white elephant! There is an abundance of religious artifacts and relics scattered all around the temple, which adds to the rich beauty of the temple. The temple contains a highly revered Lord Buddha statue which is the subject of an old folklore tale. The journey ascending up to the temple through the deeply embellished Naga staircase of almost 300 steps will be a tiring one but indeed the trip is rewarding. You can choose to take a walk up the majestic staircase, or you can skip the strenuous walk by taking a cable car up there, with an additional charge.

Upon reaching the peak of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep after an exhilarating climb, expect to be greeted with a spectacular view of the Chiang Mai city. Admire the landscape of the city from a bird's eye view, truly a sight to behold. Proceed next to another point of interest, which is the exotic Hmong tribe cultural village. The Hmong mountain tribe can be found in several South East Asian countries such as Laos, Myanmmar, Vietnam and even Thailand. Learn about the customs and tradition of the Hmong people, who are well known for their vibrant culture and intricate tribal handicrafts. Venture into the heart of the Hmong tribal village, where its inhabitants still carry out their traditional way of lives of agriculture. The Hmong tribal village were involved in the opium poppies production before the royal sustainable projects brought in and transformed the village into agricultural farms. Step into the village on a well-paved road where you will have the chance to gain some insight on the lifestyles, culture and customs of the villagers by interacting with the friendly villages or by visiting the museum. The serene atmosphere of the village is ridden with evergreen and deciduous forests with an explosion of red and pink flowers scattered all around the village.
