Tour Description:

Having been in operations for over a decade now, Desaru Fruit Farm is spread across 100 acres of land and consists of over 100 species of local tropical fruits such as jackfruit, guava, honey orange, passionfruit, watermelon, soursop and not to forget, durian the king of fruits. This award-winning agro-tourism site has won awards for Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agro-Tourism and has been attracting tourists from all over the world, with their aim of promoting nature and conservation through education. Not only a wonderful experience but also an educational adventure, learn from the experts how to pick and choose the best fruits, sustainability efforts and the best agricultural practices to ensure that the local fruits here are top notch. There is even an agricultural gallery for you to explore further about bio-farming and even facts and information about the agricultural industry.

We will then head on to visit the herbal and vegetable garden where you will be able to learn about the various types of herbs ranging from those used for medicine to those used for cooking. Herbs and vegetables that you can explore here include lemongrass, peppermint, basil, stevia, Roselle and so much more. Located just beside the herbal and vegetable garden is a beautiful fish pond that is home to the majestic koi fishes. There are man-made rocks and seats around the fish pond that provides a place for you to relax as you enjoy the beautiful scenery of nature. You are even allowed to feed the fishes however, it is advised to feed them with the food provided by the guides and not your own.

Your well-informed guide will also give you a talk about the Educational Beekeeping Management where you will be given the opportunity to watch the busy bees at work and even taste the delectable local raw honey. For animal lovers, there is also a petting zoo you can visit with animals such as rabbits, pygmy chicken, goats and others. After all the walking, it’s time to replenish your energy with a delicious lunch. Before your adventure comes to an end, make sure to explore the mini mart in the fruit farm to purchase some fresh local fruits that are available.
