The city is also a famous backpacker travel destination. There are many interesting attractions in Dalat especially its unspoilt nature around the highland city. Some people also regard Dalat as ‘Le Petit Paris’ as the city’s building architecture is influenced by the French. There is even a replica of Eiffel Tower in the town. This tour will bring you to explore the depths of Dalat’s jungle and have a unique camping experience in the woods. Be prepared for an exciting journey with magnificent views along the way. You are needed to trek an average of 4 to 5 hours each day through the jungle. The tour starts with picking you up and then drive towards the south of Dalat. During the transfer, you are able to see many scenic views of the highland nature. We will then reach the Razorback Trailhead and prepare to begin our journey to the forest.
At first, the trek will be gradually going uphill and takes us on a 200 metres elevation. While we trek through this first section of the trail, enjoy the amazing views of highlands around Dalat and also the Langbiang Mountain in the distance. As we continue our trekking journey, we will reach the ridgeline and there will be less elevation by then. We walk past the trekking trails that lead us down the lake below to stop for a rest. While we rest by the peaceful lake, we will also have our lunch too. The picnic lunch by the lake features fresh veggies and fruits, baguettes with toppings and a French-style pastry. Enjoy the beautiful views of lake, rolling mountains and forest while having lunch to replenish your energy.
Once everyone finished their lunch, we will resume our journey by a slow descend down through lush green jungles. Pay attention to your surroundings as you might spot some interesting species of floras and faunas in the forest. Our guide will also explain some of the floras and faunas living in this part of Dalat. At the end of this section, we will reach a clearing of pine forest at the edge of the lake leaving the jungle behind. This spot is where we will be camping for the night. Relax or have a swim in the lake before dinner is ready. A delicious dinner will be served to fill your hunger after a tiring day. After the dinner, take some rest and prepare for the trekking the next day.
On the second day, wake up in the morning to a refreshing breeze of air. We will start today’s journey with a simple trekking through the pine forest towards the thick jungle. As you walk past the thick jungle, you will notice that vines are hanging all over the jungles. If you are lucky, you might even see a wild orchid flower blooming or maybe a troop of monkeys swinging from trees to trees. At the end of the thick jungle section, you will continue to trek between Elephant Mountain and another peak area. You can spot a nearby valley that is covered by many small farms with different plantations. Not long after that, we will have a delicious lunch before continuing to trek through the valley. After passing by the valley, we will reach the famous Chicken Village indicating the end of our exciting journey through the forests of Dalat.
