Discover Vietnam’s oldest and biggest national park and make your way to the ancient imperial city of Hoa Lu to learn more about the historical and cultural significance of the city in days of old.
Cuc Phuong National Park is one of Vietnam’s first national parks and is home to a rich diversity of flora and fauna native to the country. It is also Vietnam’s largest nature reserve and acts as a sanctuary for rare species to flourish and grow. Of course, that is not the only allure of this tour. You will also get to visit the Ninh Binh suburban area where you will lay your eyes on the beautiful and breathtaking farmland view of Hanoi. Along the way, you will also be visiting the ancient capital of the imperial rule, Hoa An, for a little lesson on Vietnamese history. So feast your eyes on an adventure you will find hard to forget.
Day 1 - Hanoi/ Cuc Phuong National Park/ Tam Coc
You will start from your hotel on a morning drive to Cuc Phuong’s oldest national park in Vietnam. Once you arrive, you will visit the famous Endangered Primate Rescue Centre to lay your eyes on some of the rarest apes and primates in the world while learning more about the ongoing conservation efforts in saving them. Afterwards, you will head straight for lunch before going straight to the park centre with a stop en-route at the Cave of Prehistoric Man. This cave carves its interior with amazing limestone walls and towering ceilings so be sure to take lots of beautiful pictures of this natural wonder. Then, you will go on to the subtropical forest filled with diverse flora and fauna all draped in vines. Then, when the clock strikes 15:30 P.M., you will be driven out of the park to your accommodation destination at Tam Coc. Upon your arrival, you will check into the hotel and be served dinner during your stay. Feel free to use the remaining time you have to explore the area of the lodging more before lulling yourself to sleep for tomorrow.
Day 2 - Tam Coc/ Hoa Lu/ Hanoi
Waking up to a hearty breakfast, you will then collect your bicycles and head straight to a small pier for your next adventure. The next activity on the itinerary is a one-hour sampan ride on a less-travelled canal in the region. Along the way, you will pass through caves and make your way along the border of the Trang An natural site. It is here that you should definitely not miss out on the photo opportunities. The view of the scenery from your boat is definitely one that you want to add into your travel album. Then, you will continue to explore the Tam Coc area at a relaxed pace with several more stops en route. During your stops, you will have the chance to see for yourself the daily lives and lush verdant farmland before your very eyes. Then, you will stop for a late lunch at one of the residents’ home before setting off to Hoa Lu - the ancient imperial capital. Here, you will get to learn more about Vietnam history before finally driving back to Hanoi to conclude the tour.
