Tour Description:

As Saigon, now known as Ho Chi Minh City, is famous for its pivotal role in the Vietnam War, a visit to one of its historical sites will definitely help you learn more about its past. In this tour, we will explore the former headquarter of South Vietnamese National Liberal Front (NLF) at the historic Cu Chi Tunnels. After we pick you up from your hotel, we will drive for around two hours towards our destination on a restored military Jeep. Upon arrival, we will watch an introductory video about the Cu Chi area and its people during the war. As the Cu Chi Tunnels was the hiding spots of the soldiers, there are remnants of their living quarters which showcase how they lived underground during the war.

Besides exploring the underground tunnel, we will also wander around the area where we could discover many war relics. There are many narrow trap doors on the jungle floor which lead to the tunnel and are camouflaged with vegetation. On top of the trap doors, we can also notice traces of the war through the numerous bomb craters, booby traps and abandoned American tank around this area. If you would like to try using the war-era guns, you can check out the nearby shooting range at your own expense. After we have gained new knowledge about the war at Cu Chi Tunnels, we will jump in our Jeep and drive back to Saigon. We will conclude the tour and drop you off at your hotel.

Optional: With an additional surcharge, you can add a visit to Mr. Mushroom’s farm and restaurant after leaving the Cu Chi Tunnels. This farm visit will allow us to learn about how the local people utilise vegetables and herbs for both sustenance and medicinal purposes. Once we are done exploring the farm, we will indulge in a scrumptious meal made out of fresh produce from the farm.
