Our destination is the chef residing in Cam Thanh Village. So get up early and prepare yourself for the lesson as you make your way out from the hotel. First, you will head toward the local market to pick up some ingredients for the cooking. Enjoy the lively morning and the ingredient hunting adventure as you make your way through the market and locate the ingredient you need. One thing that you might pick up is how the locals love to bargain. You will be happy to know that you will also get a crash course on how to best bargain for price and get that middle line price you have always wanted instead of being suckered into buying an overpriced product.
Once you have found and bought all the necessary ingredients, you will make your way out of Hoi An city and into the countryside. Enjoy the lonely country road and beautiful scenery along the way as you transition from the bustling city into the more serene countryside dynamic. As for your mode of transport throughout the day, you can choose to go for the adventurous vibe of a motorbike ride or the classy feel of travelling by car. Either way, your choice does not diminish your experience to fully enjoy the benefit of the tour and the travel journey in the slightest.
Arriving at Cam Tranh Village, you will be happy to know that the village itself is known for its local delicacies and food. Aside from that, it is also known as the coconut and fishing village due to its proximity to a coconut forest and its reliance on fishing as one of the main livelihood. Meeting up with the chef, you will start your lesson properly. As for the menu, we will leave that as a surprise and it will be decided on the day of your arrival itself - in other words, it is all going to be impromptu! After some good cooking, it is time to sit down for lunch. Enjoy the fruit of your labour and dig in on your plates alongside our local chef and tour guide.
Before finishing the day, you will also get to ride on a bamboo boat and see just how good the locals are keeping the boat balanced. Do not worry, we will ensure that the boat do not rock too much and throw you out into the river. After receiving your certificate from the cooking class, you will make your way back to the city where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
