Tour Description:

The beauty of Chiang Mai certainly does not fade when the night arrives. In fact, the night view of  Chiang Mai gives off a different vibrant beauty. Street foods starts to set up at every corner of Chiang Mai for foodies around the city. The city is serenely beautiful with illuminated temples, chanting monks, the ancient city wall and not to forget the colourful night markets. The cool evening makes it perfect to tour around too.

We will meet at the meeting point near Chiang Mai gate for a quick briefing and bike fitting session. We will be riding relaxingly throughout the tour to discover the nightlife of Chiang Mai slowly. Our tour begins with a short cycle to the Tha Pae Gate. The beautifully restored gate stands as one of the most iconic landmarks in Chiang Mai and has a rich and grand history behind it. After a short stop at the gate, we will pedal through the city’s streets to our next destination which is the Wat Intakhin with its serene 700 year old white Buddha. Then, we will go to the Three Kings Monument where you will learn about the founder of Chiang Mai.

We will then cycle to the city moat and reach the Wat Lok Molee. Its beautifully illuminated stupa and ornate wooden prayer hall is certainly a sight to behold. You will be amazed by the craftsmanship of those who built the temples. At this time of day, there is also a good chance that you might hear the monks chanting their prayers. Our next stop will be Chiang Mai’s grandest monument, the prominent Wat Chedi Luang. It was built to house the ashes of a king and was once the home of the renowned Emerald Buddha. It is now the home of the City Pillar and 3 auspicious trees which is believed to provide protection to the city.

Our final stop will be a food tour of the Chiang Mai Gate Market. Your guide will lead you through the market and point out the different types of street food available. You will get to eat some of the authentic and delicious street foods of Chiang Mai. The atmosphere at the night market will be a unique experience. We will return to our meeting point after the food tour. It is just a short ride back.

• This riding distance of this tour is approximately 14 kilometres
• This tour departs Monday to Saturday
• Children must be accompanied by an adult
• Men and Women need to cover their shoulders to enter temples and mosques. Woman need to cover their knees as well, so If you like to wear shorts when riding, we recommend bringing a sarong to wear for entering a temple or mosque
• You still need to turn up for the tour if it is raining. It is quite common that it can be raining in one part of the city and not raining in another. So if it's raining at your hotel don't assume it is raining where you will be cycling. Also it is common that the rain falls heavily and for short durations so if it does rain we just wait and continue the tour once the rain stops. We also have plastic rain ponchos for everyone in the case that you do need to ride in the rain. If heavy rains continues until 8:45 am or if there is torrential flooding, you can choose to cancel with full refund or change your tour to another day
