Challenge yourself on an exciting adventure to Thailand’s beautiful countryside views and be amazed by it!
Go on a fun cycling adventure to the outskirts of Chiang Mai for an exciting getaway that will captivate your heart with many scenic views. This 40 kilometres ride along the outskirts consists of paved and dirt trails across lush green forests. The beautiful sceneries along the way will make this ride an unforgettable one.
We will first pick you up from your hotel in the morning, then we head to our first destination of the trip which is the Buathong Waterfall. It is a very interesting waterfall which is also known as the Sticky Waterfall due to the limestone steppings that can be climbed up easily at the waterfalls. The mineral deposits in the waters have stuck on the limestones and making its surface grippy and people could climb up the waterfall easily as a result. The waterfall also looks very different as the water looks very creamy and lots of bubbles. It will indeed be a very unique experience. We will have a relaxing warm up for our legs at the waterfall before our cycling journey. You can also climb up the waterfall to experience being at the top of the waterfall.
We will start cycling 7 kilometres on a flat hill before cycling 3 kilometres down through teak forests on logging trails. As we cycle along the trails, we will be able to see vast rice fields and many more beautiful sceneries. We will cycle past a fertile plantation near the small village on our way to Mae Ngat Reservoir. Then, we continue to cycle along the trails and across a dam of fresh water. We will reach a river lake restaurant to have a lunch and taste the specialities of Northern Thailand.
After our lunch in the afternoon, we hop back on our bike and continue our cycling journey. We will be cycling on a flat but twisty dirt path through rice fields before a short climb up the hill as we approach our next destination. We will rest for a short period at the reservoir to catch our breath. Next up, we continue to pedal through the countryside roads as we cycle on the edge of Sri Lanna National Park. Then, we will have our last break of the journey with fresh water supply and a chance to meet and greet the locals at the villages before we go for the final part of our journey.
