Day 1 – Kota Kinabalu / Nabalu Market / Poring / Kinabalu Park
Shrug off your drowsiness as you embark on a 2-hour journey to Malaysia’s First World Heritage site, Kinabalu Park, to tackle the imposing Mount Kinabalu—a worthy adversary for any avid mountain climbers. The scenic road along the Crocker Range will lead you past quaint villages and picturesque paddy fields. Stop by Nabalu Market, a staging area for tourist to purchase local produce—fruits, vegetables and handicraft souvenirs—and to stretch or go for a toilet break before proceeding to the Kinabalu Park.
The stunning view of the majestic Mount Kinabalu is enough to keep you rooted in the market. However, we must press on for another 1.5 hours to Poring Hot Springs where you will get to enjoy a delightful meal served at the Poring Hot Spring Restaurant. Brave intimidating heights at the Canopy Walkway preceded by a light 20-30 minutes hike. Experience the dizzying heights akin to a 12-storey building at the vertigo-inducing canopy bridges. Then, gaze at dazzling butterflies at the Butterfly Farm where you can also stroll through a lush garden, visit the nursery and explore the hatchery for an educational experience.
Then, rest weary feet and ease away the soreness at the open-air Japanese-style bathtub, containing natural hot sulphuric minerals believed to have restorative properties. Once you are satisfied, we can then continue on to Kinabalu Park to check into a mountain resort for the night. Explore the resort at your own will and enjoy a hearty dinner because you will need your strength for the following days.
Day 2 – Park HQ / Timp. Gate / Ascend Mount Kinabalu / Laban Rata
Wake up bright and early for breakfast at the Park Restaurant before proceeding to collect your packed lunch, register at the Park HQ and greet your assigned mountain guide. This 4-5 hours climb is far from dull as you will lay eyes on different vegetations at varying altitudes, ranging from Oak trees to mossy coverings. Upon arrival at Laban Rata (3,272 m), you can explore the grounds and check in for the night.

At 7 am, it is time to bid farewell and head back down for a late breakfast at Laban Rata. After checking out, trek back to Timpohon Gate where you will wrap up the tour with a Certificate of Achievement!
