Tour Description:

Day 1 - Kota Kinabalu / Kudat

The journey to your first destination will take approximately three hours. Watch out for fascinating sights as you enter the tranquillity of the picturesque countryside. You will pass paddy fields, villages and oil palm plantations. The local stalls and their colourful displays of handicrafts and foods make a fetching picture, too.

There will be a stopover at Sumangkap Village. This village is well known due to its highly skilled local craftsmen who are able to create beautiful gongs. You will also pay a visit to the Gombizau Honey Bee Farm, where you will observe the production of raw honey. When you have reached the Bavanggazo Village you will check into a traditional longhouse. This is where you will stay overnight in a twin bedded room. These unique houses are built entirely out of local materials. The people who live here are part of the Rungus tribe, a sub-group of the Kadazan-Dusun community. And after a good meal, they will entertain their guests with a cultural performance. You will even get a chance to try the distinct taste of tapai (a local rice wine) by taking part in a drinking session with your host.

Day 2 - Kudat / Tip of Borneo / Kota Kinabalu

After breakfast, the tour group will proceed with a one hour drive to Tanjung Simpang Mengayau. This is the spectacular northern ‘Tip of Borneo’. What makes it so special is that it is the meeting point for the South China and Sulu seas. Prepare to be blown away by the deep blue waters, the virgin beaches and the gorgeous scenery that shows Sabah’s true untouched beauty. This is also the perfect place to collect seashells and capture some of the best nature photography shots. Your journey will end with a return trip to Kota Kinabalu, where you will have lunch at a local restaurant.

• Rates are quoted based on twin sharing basis for tours involving accommodation

• Please adhere to strict pick-up time punctuality. Tour operators may forfeit tours for travellers if no-show during stipulated time
• Registered name of the traveller must be corresponding with photograph documentation (Example: Passport). Tour operators reserve the right to reject if registered traveller fails to provide photographed documentation of their own
• Note: Starting from 1st September 2017, a tourism tax of RM10 per room per night will be imposed on non-Malaysian tourists for all types of hotels and accommodations. This is payable to the hotel upon check-out
