Day 1 - Gunung Machinchang cable car ride / Night market

Start your arrival trip easy with a relaxing trip on a cable car up the beautiful Gunung Machinchang. Going as high as 708 m above sea level, feast your eyes on the stunning view from atop Gunung Machinchang as you gaze down at the rustic scenery of the city and the vast ocean. You will need to pay an entrance fee for the cable car ride but the fee will also give you access to the newly constructed SkyDome. Live up your fantasy and marvel at the boundless universe all in a single SkyDome adventure. Add in another small RM5 for an adult and RM3 for a child, you will gain further access to the SkyBridge where you will have a full 360-degree view of the mountain and its surrounding forests. Be sure to get snapping and take that photogenic pictures of yours posing at the top of the mountain!

  • Wednesday: Kuah Town Night Market
  • Thursday: Bohor Temoyong Night Market
  • Friday: Ayer Hangat Night Market

Then, as dusk starts rolling in, head to Pantai Cenang to try out that new swimwear you just bought with a dip in the ocean. Or, simply bask yourself to the warm sunlight by the picturesque golden sky as you watch the sun sets and the day turns to night. But it does not end there! You will see that many local stores such as the “Yellow Cafe” and “D’Riff at the Cliff” start to brighten up as music fills the air. Yes, it is the start of the nightlife in Pantai Cenang. So sway your body and chug down that booze as you sway to the beat and have fun throughout the night. Of course, be sure to drink responsibly as well lest you lose your way back to your hotel.
