Boasting the title of the steepest cable car ride in the world, the Langkawi cable car ride is a challenge that tests your mental strength to its utmost.
While January to March is usually the peak season for visitors who are interested in Langkawi, you may also wish to consider mid-season April to August as your arrival date to avoid the long queue. Of course, coming in during the latter period means light rain here and there but it is worth considering if you wish to have more privacy and more personal travelling experience.
It is also reassuring to know that the Langkawi cable car ride (a.k.a. SkyCab) is in close proximity to many of the island’s scenic landscape. As you make your way up, you will be able to stop by the beautiful Sky Bridge and get snapping. The entrance requires a small entrance fee (RM5 for an adult and RM3 for a child) but is worth every penny. The beautiful elevated bridge offers a 360-degree view across the mountain. Feel the fresh wind brushing through your cheeks and escape the miasma of the city in this mountainous adventure that is designed to bring you the best of Gunung Machinchang.
The entrance fee of Langkawi SkyCab also comes with a free entry into SkyDome, a 360-degree 3D image projections room where you can experience the joy of living in your imaginative world. Marvel at the wonders of the galaxies and witness the power of the stars as they bring you into the vast alien void of the universe called the outer space. If you are bringing your family, this is definitely a prime spot to bring your children to. Let them live the world of their own imagination and see the beauty of the world presented in a novel and wondrous format.
