How to get to Agro Technology Park:
- Drive yourself to Agro Technology Park. A GPS will show you the way directly.
- There will be buses from different locations of Peninsular Malaysia going up to Cameron Highlands. You can search for them online and also buy them.
- You can hire a taxi to go to the park when you reach Cameron Highlands.

- Wednesday to Monday – 8.00am to 5.00pm
- Tuesday – CLOSED
- (The park is open every day from 8.00am to 5.00pm including school holidays & public holidays except Tuesday, Aidilfitri & Aidiladha.)

Agro Technology Park in MARDI is situated at Tanah Rata of Cameron Highlands. It is one of the attractions that are popular for tourist in Cameron Highlands. The park is an agricultural research station that is open to the public. The MARDI Cameron Highland’s station was established in 1925 by the British. At that moment, tea was first introduced in the country and these early bushes are still growing healthily in the station. The Agro Technology Park within the station was then officiated on 14th June 2003. Since then, around 65,000 visitors visit the park each year.
The Agro Technology Park is divided into 6 main areas: the English Garden, Herb Garden, Orchid Garden, Rose Garden, research centre and an information centre. You will be able to explore various flower gardens, crop houses, plant nurseries, farmlands and even a small tea plantation with a factory. The park is home to 40 varieties of roses, 10 strawberries, 100 citrus fruits, at least six types of anthuriums, four varieties of apples, pears and persimmons. The park is also MARDI’s oldest research station in the country.
The Agro Technology Park facilities are very comprehensive and have since become a popular tourist attraction in Cameron Highlands. Many visitors go to the park for a beautiful view of the plants all over the park. In addition to the cool weather, touring around the park gives a refreshing feeling. You will be able to see many plants in the park.
Some of the facilities in the park are:
1) Information Centre
At the information centre, visitors can get information on MARDI Agro Technology Park. Besides that, there is also an exhibition on MARDI’s latest technologies and publications for sale. The ticketing counter is also in the information centre. Visitors will need to buy the ticket here in order to enter the park.

2) Cafeteria
There is a cafeteria in the park that visitors can visit if they feel tired walking around or want to enjoy some drinks with the view of the park. The cafeteria has snacks and refreshments such as Cameron Highlands tea, strawberry juice and flavoured teas.
3) Flower Nursery
Visitors will be able to enjoy the view of numerous flowering pot plants. The rich colours of flowers will offer a beautiful view to visitors. Ornamental pot plants and cut flowers are also available for sale here.
4) Sales Centre
The sales centre showcases MARDI’s products and products from relevant agricultural agencies, local farms and processed products from local entrepreneurs. Pot plants, fresh cut flowers and vegetable are also on sale.

5) Meeting Facilities
Meeting facilities are also available for a seminar or workshop. The facility can fit 100 people in a theatre seating style. Facilities are rented upon request and approval from the park’s management.
6) Walking Trail
Visitors can follow the walking trail to explore the park and discover what kind of plants they got. Jungle walks number 3 and 7 go through the park. Those interested in jungle trekking can enjoy and experience jungle walking to Gunung Berembun.
